The miscellaneous ramblings and thoughts of Dan G. Switzer, II

A public service message from Plaxico Burress...

Chimpanzee Rides Segway

Segway's are so easy to use, even a Chimp can use one! This just cracks me up—but I get a kick out of just any video that stars a Chimpanzee.

Boba Fett + Flashdance = Fettdance...

A good way to start a Monday morning...

How to build a Diet Coke booby trap...

This idea is pretty clever, but is probably best done with a 2 liter (since I think anyone would get suspicious of an smaller 20oz bottle that was already open.)

How To Build A Mentos And Diet Coke Booby Trap

I'm F*cking Obama!

This is a really well done parody of the Sarah Silverman song...

This is for all the "Ladies of the World" (and the men too...)

CNET is giving away downloads to two Flight of the Concord tunes—Ladies of the World and Business Time. If you're unfamiliar with this band, the best way I can describe it funny funky melodic music.

Frozen in Grand Central Station...

This video is a couple of months old, but I just came across it (actually my mom sent me a link it.) This is another Improv Everywhere video. The premise on this video is that 200 people all go into Grand Central station and all freeze at exactly the same time and resume exactly 5 minutes later. I'm sure it would have been very freaky to witness in person.

Very cool!

What if David Lee Roth tried out for American Idol...

I found this clip on VanHalen.com. It's basically an audio clip of what it might sound like if David Lee Roth tried out for American Idol.

Bill Gate's Farewell Video...

At CES 2008 Microsoft showed off a "Bill Gate's Farewell Video." I just now watched it for the first time and it's pretty darn funny. Lots of cameos (Steven Spielberg, Bono, George Clooney, etc) and several really funny scenes.

Funny stuff!

Mike Tomlin is an Iron man...

I really hate those Coors Light commercials where they've tried to re-factor NFL Coach's Post Game Conferences into something "funny"—at least I assume they're supposed to be funny. I don't know anyone who actually thinks the commercials are amusing in the least bit.

However, someone has been actually able to create a funny parody of the commercials in the Pittsburgh area. Perhaps it's only going to be funny to those who've lived in Pittsburgh, visit there frequently or are just a fan of the Steelers (I qualify for the last two.) Anyway, I found this parody to be much better put together. They've selected quotes from Coach Mike Tomlin that are much more fitting to the questions being asked. Well I think it's funny anyway!

Conan O'Brien's staff playing Rock Band

Pretty funny skit of the staff of Conan O'Brien playing the game Rock Band.

If this video gets pulled, just trying searching for it.

What we wore in 1977...

Last week I posted about my grandma's death, I told you about how one of my fondest memories as a kid was going through JC Penny's catalogs and marking the presents I wanted. One of thing I never marked was clothing—except for something Steelers' related.

From this post on clothing in a 1977 JC Penny catalog I think you can see why I never marked any clothing. I must confess though, I had closet full of clothing that looked like the outfit below.

I even had a belt that had double notches—it barely fit through my belt loops on my Sears Toughskins.

Joke: The Drunk

An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his bodily systems extremely upset.

Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put. He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational.

In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets, and threw them out the hospital window.

Spinal Tap is back, and this time the band wants to help save the world from global warming.
