Maddie at Vets for Spaying...

Ok, I just dropped Maddie off for her spaying and to get her dew claws removed. I decided to pay the extra money to pay for laser surgery—it won't really improve the recovery time, but it should be a more sterile incision. Anyway, I feel better when I get to see her this afternoon. It's amazing how fast pets become part of the family.

    UPDATE: I talked to the Vet around 10:30am or so and we decided *not* to remove her front dew claws. The Vet thought there was no chance for them to cause her any problems, and they were really attached to the foot.

    I didn't want to do anything that wasn't necessary, so I told the Vet to skip doing them. I think it was the Vets preference not to remove them as well.
