Weekend Update (Not to be confused w/Tina Fey & Jimmy Fallon)

Wow, am I beat. This weekend was another busy weekend. Jenn went up to Niles to visit with her family for Easter and I stayed in the Columbus/Springfield area.

I spent the day in Springfield Saturday helping my mom move furniture from my Grandparents house to my parent's house. My Grandparent's recently moved, so there's some stuff they left behind for other family members (and some stuff to be auctioned off.) Anyway we moved a desk to my mom's office and rearranged her office a bit. We also tore down a few beds and got the everything ready to move—we were on a bit of a timetable, as we were having our annual family Easter dinner at 5:00pm.

We decided to move Easter dinner to Saturday night (instead of our normal Easter brunch on Sunday,) since the entire family would still be in town (my uncle was leaving for a golf trip down in Florida on Sunday morning.) As always, dinner was a good time.

There was also a "big announcement" made as well—my cousin, J.P., and his wife, Betsy, are expecting their first child in December. I was told their was a "big announcement" to be made a couple of weeks ago, and I suspected this was what the news was. Anyway, I'm extremely happy for both of them. There's lots of girls on Betsy side of the family, so I'm thinking it's about time for her side of the family to have a boy. We'll see what happens though—I don't have a real good hunch on what it is yet. (Although I was wrong about Todd & Monica having a girl.)

After all the family festivities, I went back to my parents for a couple of hours and watched Maddie beat up on my parent's beagle (who's 15 now and in no mood to play with a puppy.) After watching that for awhile, I drove back home and pretty much straight to bed. (Although I did call my brother to say "bye" to him. He had to go to work at 4:00pm, and wasn't able to attend the Easter dinner.)

I got up Sunday morning and did yard work for a couple of hours. The yard looks much better, but I still have a ton of stuff to do. Anyway, I sat around and watched "My Cousin Vinny" for the first time (which was pretty funny) and then drove back to Springfield to have dinner with parents and brother. I ended up rushing out of there in order to try to beat a nasty storm front that was moving through the mid-Ohio area. Although I didn't really beat it, driving was only really bad for the first 10 minutes or so. Once the 3/4" hail stopped things got much better.

I made it home about 8:00pm and Jenn got to Columbus about 30 minutes later. Anyway, it was a good weekend, but I'm beat today. I could barely get moving this morning. I'm still really sore and stiff, but that's what I get for sitting on my ass all day at work.
